Summer just flow away as if it was just yesterday. Some parents keep their kids busy all summer in the hope of giving your kids the most important and necessary summer camp experience. In the hope of cultivating qualities in children that we see that we badly need to be ahead on everything. During summer, parents see it necessary to send their kids to summer camps because you see this as a way of in grilling in your kids the qualities that are seen very useful in this competitive society.
Learning more even during summer can be done in academic summer camp; if going on a mobile boot camp is considered as one then some societies indeed find it very stimulating to spend summer with the idea of growing academically. Recently, mobile camps in Africa have been very active this summer 2009. Several countries and universities in Africa have come up with a summer camp with the idea of developing technology and computer skills of their computer science students. In the camp they are guided and encourage making new computer games that they can upload in their cellphones and take home.
I applaud parents who sent their kids on these kinds of camps though I had another idea with my kids around. With my eldest daughter I allowed her to join the wilderness adventure and try enjoying life with summer camp activities like whitewater rafting, rock climbing and overnight summer camps. I wanted her to enjoy the thrill of outdoor adventure.
Their instructor of course taught them the precaution and safety measure of every activity and makes it enough for me for my children to experience. If I had enough budget for summer camps it would have been great to send them off across border for them to appreciate more of other cultures; perhaps next time. It does not matter though if it only for an overnight or a few days.
