Seeing a couple dance on a television in any ballroom dancing tune made your heart skip so much more when you see little kids both the beginners, intermediate and advance little kids dancers try to fit their sway with the music.

I was one dance sport fan though I have been really into it for I got busy with my career and family life. Now with my kids, trying to sway to the tunes of any music; I want that dream fulfilled.

The ballroom dance camp that I enrolled my kids teaches the basic steps for the kids two hours per day. It was a day camp. The kids were divided into the beginners, intermediate and advance level groups.

It was in awe seeing the advance level kids composed of kids from 7 to 15 years old show off their skills but still they would like to learn more. I ask my kids both 8 and 10 years old if they might be interested in learning to dance- dance sport or ballroom dancing?

A big yes coupled with clapping hands and smile is enough for me to conclude that I did the right decision. I registered them right away for the summer. The first day was full of introductory activities and getting to know each other. A lecture of the history of ballroom dancing and the great dancers in the history were introduced.

The second day was the start of the formal training. Parents were allowed to monitor their kids through a one-way glass so it was heart wrenching to see my kids for the first time learn how to dance.

All parents including me would say their kids are the best and we are just too glad to see them take formal lessons through ballroom dance camp.

At the end of a two months practice they had a culmination presentation complete with their beautiful costumes. The culmination is the product of a two-month practice and patience of both parents and the kids. I was just glad that I sent them to a dance summer camp. And I will again this year.
