Summer Camp for Mother and Daughter, Retie the Bond

Category: Summer Camp Kind – admin – 1:14 am

I am observing mothers and daughters and told myself that if ever I will have my own daughter I will be a friend, playmate and mother…all at the same time. Better said that done; when I had my daughter my idealism seems to flew out of the window…balancing work, household chores and spending quality time with my daughter has most of my time.

I saw my daughter grow up and fear is clutching my heart as I realize that I will be losing her soon…to the computer…friends…job…without even building a kind of relationship that I wanna have. I want to build a relationship that is open and full of understanding with my daughter… and I think most mother do. Right?

Yet those dreams will remain a dream and you will see these ideas slowly uncontrollably flew away from within your reach. Now, she is ten and I know that though she shows respect and being controlled… it is a temporary status quo… there must something, someone, an idea that could bring us together.

I realized that going on a mother daughter retreats sometimes can be uncomfortable between us. There is seems to be gap between us…that I do not know how to cross. So, I have to get a leave of absence from work this summer to try to spend time with her. Though, do not get me wrong, the relationship I had with my daughter is alright; she listens from what I say; I listen from what she says but I wanted the relationship to be in a status quo wherein both of us know each other beyond the mother and daughter link.

I wanted to know how she ticks and how she acts and the same way that she would know me as a person and not only as someone who raises her. It was this summer that together we enrolled in a mother daughter summer camp. We got to retie the bond as they call it. It was then that I got to appreciate what my kid is up to these days.

I know she loves the ‘ball’. Thus, we joined training for learning soccer game. Yes, it was tiring….but it was fun and challenging at the same time. I wanted the game to be a mother daughter trip for both of us. Then we end up spending a mother daughter spa day right after a full day of activity.

Summer Camp spearheaded the bonding I got with my daughter… hoping the bonding does not end in a summer camp.

Music Summer Camps, Music of the Soul

Category: Summer Camp Kind – admin – 1:56 am

They say that the human voice is the most pure and beautiful sound form of music. Upon hearing a very beautiful song, indeed I agreed. But I also believe that instruments like guitar, ukulele, piano, organ and etc also help bring and get the best of the human voice.

I heard once, a plucking of guitar from my neighbor’s window and saw their youngest daughter playing the guitar. The music just tugs something from my heart. I was 5 then and I recognized the importance of music. And that was 35 years ago.

Now, I still love music and I am teaching kids to love it in Music Summer Camps. I never knew that I could share my gift to little beings so innocent of the pain and the harsh realities of life. I would like to encourage the owners of these little hands to appreciate music for them to have something to cling to during the dark times of their lives. Yes, music did that to me. No wonder that, summer camps 2009 is not a neophyte for offering music summer camps from little kids to even adults.

Texas Lutheran Academy welcomes all as it host the annual Summer Music Academy from July 12 to July 17 to be given by the high school and middle school students. The students who will participate in summer academy received instructions from certified professors and instructors from premier colleges, students and universities according to their level of ability.

In Texas education grade six to eight received a year’s music instruction for growing experience. Some students continue the instruction either within the school of outside and most of the time in summer camps right after finishing the school course.

Yet, some kids are lucky to appreciate music right from early age and are developed through attending yearly summer camps in their place. Indeed music became the music of their soul.

Create in Technology Camp This Summer

Category: Summer Camp Kind – admin – 7:42 pm

summer campIt is human nature to create. Summer Camps are there to nurture this innate nature in kids. Summer day camps teach so many skills for kids. And these skills just evolve along with time. Now, with the advent of computer and computer games; summer camps like the iD Tech Camp now offers ways for kids to polish or develop their creativity and skills in creation but this time it is the use of computers.

The University of Houston is the place which iD Tech Camp was held. Kids with age range from 7 to 18 years old can join this camp. Lessons are of course separated into different modules and each kid can assess and fit in into the different modules.

As soon as the school starts, kid talks a lot about their summer experiences. Some perhaps would brag of the places they had visited; of activities they had; of sleepaway summer camps they had joined; for kids who can get summer jobs they would talk on the things they had bought from their summer wages; or the sports they had learned in summer sports camp. But with iD tech there is an inner pride that you had made something with the use of creativity.

Summer Technology Camp teaches, tap, develop the skills of their students. A 10 to 14 year old kid can make a Mario computer game with 15-lelvel multiplayer. These kids are vying to become a successful computer game programmer or maker or to sell their works at Jagex Games, a game developer and game publisher.

The creator of this summer camp idea knew that, children as they play the computer games together with their dads also imagine and wishes “how about creating their own game?” This time this fantasy can become true with the help of summer camps.
