As a parent it is your accountability to know what are that your kids needs in a summer camp. But since most of the summer camp will send a welcome packet that includes a list of what to pack, you will know from the list what’s not to bring and what to bring for your kids. If you opt to send your kids to a day camp the things that you need to bring includes towel, swimming gear, swim shoes, sunscreen and swimsuit. Bring also bottles filled with water, extra clothing, sandals, sweatshirt and lightweight rain slicker. Make sure that your kids will not be left behind when it comes to their personal gears.

If ever your kids are under a regular medication due to his allergy, make sure that the camp’s nurse knew about it so that the nurse can assist your child. Instruct the nurse well how the medication administered. On the other hand, there are some day camps which provide snacks and lunch while others do not. If ever the camp you chose do not provide snacks or lunch, pack some snacks or lunch for your kids in a shielded lunch pack, it would be a good idea if you will include an ice pack in order for the food to keep cool and so that it would not be spoiled.
