When you have decided to send your child to a summer camp program, as a parent there are things that you should have to take into consideration. The first thing that you should consider is to choose if you are going to send your child to coed camps or to a single gender camp. Both of these kinds of summer camps give the same yet different benefits. After you have decided what type of camp you will bring your child, work on him/her also. Look for a camp that you think would fit to your child’s abilities and skills, a camp that would enhance your child’s talent. Try to look also the camp’s activities if it can give benefits to your child’s physical and emotional aspects.
Before sending your child to a camp that you have cited, try to check on the camp’s philosophy. By checking the camp’s philosophy, it would help you find out if it really fits your child’s abilities. If ever the camp you have chosen are a religious camp, try to figure out what are its religious practices and observances. This could give you the assurance that your kids will be in good hands.
Another thing that you should have to consider is also the camp’s staffs. Try to find out if the staffs are well trained and if they have criminal background checks. This would help you determine if these people are capable to the said position. Consider the ratio of the campers to the staffs also, this is very important. The ratio of 1:6 for the younger ages is better, while 1:10 for older youngsters.
Knowing the ages of the counselors in a particular summer camp is necessary. Make sure that the counselors are aging 18 above, for they are more responsible and more mature. They know more how to mingle and manage your child’s behavior. These are some of the things that you should have to consider when choosing the right camps for your child.

So you are starting to feel worried because summer vacation in your place is near and you do not know where to send your kids during this period. Parents, summer period should be the best time for your kids and for the whole family, so there is nothing to worry about because there are lots of places where you can indulge your child when you are too busy at your work.
If you do not want your kids to feel bored during the summer period and if you want them to learn something valuable while they were on their vacation, bringing them to a summer camp program is the best idea. Kids will absolutely enjoy their stay here, because the activities being provided in most of the camps are interesting which was designed to stimulate every camper’s minds.
But before deciding to send your child to a summer camp, try to think of the following things too, and try to talk about it with your child.
• Think of your budget, do you think you can afford to that particular summer camp you have chosen for your kid? And if your kid was the one who chose it, but you cannot afford, try to explain your side that your kid could understand.
• Think of the summer camp’s location. How far it would take from your home, because this might affix additional costs.
• Consider the space of the camp too; think of your child’s needs and capabilities. Perhaps your child would like to indulge in a camp with a large space or small. Though this might incur additional cost, considering your child’s needs are a great idea since they will be the one to act in the camp.
• Consider also your child’s ideas if how many weeks do they want to spend in the camp or how many days.
• And ask also your child if they want to indulge only in a single gender camp or merge gender camp.
These tips could possibly make the best summer experience your child has and to you as a parent as well.

What do you think is the reason why it is necessary to engage your kids to a summer camp program? What could a summer camp contribute to teenagers and kids alike? Do you think it could give benefits to your kids as what you are expecting? Of course it can. No parents would allow their kids to be far away from them and letting them indulge in the summer camp program if it could not give something good in return. Summer camps are a great alternative to mold your kids into a better and more mature person.
Camps accordingly, are the best place for kids to learn something that they have not learned or experienced before. One of the famous psychologists said, that enrolling your kids to a summer camp could enhance their capabilities and skills. On the other hand, if they are not academically good, the summer camps are a great place to give them a chance to learn some things that they have not learned.
The kids in the summer camps will have the chance to learn physical skills, through the summer camp activities, like archery, swimming, basketball and more. Socially, the kids will learn to accept team work and its value and can build a long lasting friendship.
There are two options to choose for a summer camp program. Kids can opt to join in the overnight summer camp or in the day camp. As a parent, it is your accountability to know what are the weaknesses or the strengths of your kids. This is for you to know if he/she is capable to get indulged in the overnight summer camp or only in the day camp.
If you want your kids to try the overnight summer camp, don’t push them directly. Try to measure his/her strength and weaknesses so that you can determine if he/she can handle being far away from you for days, weeks or months. The strategy to try would be, letting your kids sleep in their grandparents or friends for days. After that, ask them about their experience. If you think your kids can handle it, perhaps this is the chance to let them experience the overnight summer camp program.
Generally, summer camp is a great alternative to make your kids develop into a real person and to become more mature, independent and courageous.

As a parent it is important that you choose the right summer camp for your child. It is vital that you should consider thorough researching because summer camps could give big impact to your child’s growth. As a parent it is recommended that you should learn how to choose the right camp for your child wisely because you will not only benefit something from it but most importantly your child.
It is not wise enough for the parents to send their child to a camp without considering its program, facilities and activities. Letting your kids join a camp where their friends are there too is not a good idea because you did not know if your child will also enjoy the activities being offered. Before sending your child off to a camp even though you found his lot of friends it is still very important to ask your child if he likes to be with that certain summer camp program with his friends.
Despite of your child’s age it is vital that when choosing a variety options of a camp it can provide and accommodate your needs and your child’s needs, interest, expectations and goals. It is the accountability of the parents to understand what your child’s wants and his reasons why.
Consider the type of camps you are going to send your child. There are different types of camps: The overnight camp is considered as coed. This type of camp could give both boys and girls to interact to each other especially during the activity time or during the use of the same facilities. There are also day camps where your child can go home after the session; they are not allowed to sleep over night within the camp.
Another thing to consider when sending your child to a summer camp is to think of the cost. There are non profit camps which are of course less expensive compare to the private camps. Think of the possibilities how much you would pay for the entertainment, childcare and more when sending your child in a summer camp. There might be possibilities that there are extra payments to pay in a camp, make sure that you are aware and ready about it. The extra payments are commonly due to your child’s uniform, transportation, trips, camp hopping and among others.
If you are all aware about these things, it would not be a surprise to you when and where to enroll your child in a certain summer camp program.

Summer is far too far for me to be wanting the shine and sun on my back. Yes, I know it is still so cold to be thinking of Christmas. But who can stop thinking of summer during Christmas when all of my decorations is a big thank you from summer camps long way before. I am a successful CEO of a big company but I still make sure that I took care of the house decorations and that my kids should look forward to it every Christmas season.
The little creative trimmings that can be seen from the streets accompanied by glittering lights are made by little hands and my creations. I admit I do not only shine on board room meeting but also during Christmas season.
I remember my first summer camp. I was not in the camp as a student but a worker. That was my first summer camp job and I had falling in love with the activities that comes with it. I was 14 then and summer camps are not my cup of tea. The next year I enrolled in a summer camp. This time I concentrated on making creations from almost anything that I can lay my hands on.
Summer camp ideas are varied; from sports to cooking and crocheting. Though, as a child the summer camp I chose should be made up of group games and ‘meaningful’ activities fused into a month of summer camp.
Besides creating and sewing; the summer camp must consists of activities that enlivens the soul and heart. A visit to the woods for crochet inspirations is one activity that I will never forget. I remembered making the best work in the class. A boat trip before making Christmas decoration ended up with nature-made crafts for Christmas.
Summer camps are the best place to experience being a creator for once.

Try to talk to some families who had experience on the summer camp so that you can familiarize what are the possible things to happen within the camp.
-
Let your kid spend their weekend with their friend. Try not to communicate with him/her. Afterwards, your child about it about how did he/she feel during the first or second night.
-
Since your child would be away from you, teach him/her how to take care of himself/herself. You should have to teach her/him what appropriate clothes to wear, how to set a table and more.
-
It is normal for the first time campers to feel homesick when being away from their parents or favorite pets and friends. Speak to your child about it openly, if you would talk to them in an open way your kids anxiety would be less making them feel secure and confident.
Trying to follow these tips could help your kids feel at ease during their summer camp experience even if it is their first time.

I was so obsessed of making my own decorations for Christmas. I always dreamt of how I would turn my home into an enchanting paradise with the use of my very hand and creativity. Unfortunately, I was not made with such talent. My talent lies with numbers. Though, my lacking in creativity does not stop me from sending my kids to summer camp crafts to develop any hidden talent if there is any.
Now my two teenage daughters take charge of the Christmas decorations. This coming Christmas we will be enjoying a Holiday season filled with Christmas spirit and filled with the creations of my two princesses. I send my thank you to all the summer camps that in anyway has helped enhanced, develop, mentor and teach my children into making them responsible makers and creators of crafts.
Summer camp activities vary so much. Each parent has the freedom to choose in what activity to enroll their kids. Though, I gave my children the freedom of choice; I kind of molded them to be designers and makers of their passion. I encourage them to try new crafts, new activities which they did but still designing and creating are their ultimate passion.
They learned so much every summer. They spent the whole summer learning new different things and they are enjoying it. Summer camp ideas are so immense and different and every camp is so entirely unique that it made another trip to it worth every penny you spend.
We are contemplating of mixing summer camps and travel abroad in the next few years. we are planning to go for a Italy summer camp or perhaps Spain summer camp. This time we are vying to let our children explore another language. A second language is really important in our society now. It is becoming a very competitive world and I am readying them to be one competitive individual.- summer camps is the starting place for it.
